For over forty years I have only had one profession, Creating music. Almost every day. Music for songwriters. Music for TV opens. Music for movies. Writing music, producing, playing, mixing …..MUSIC. I’m still hard at it. It is my passion.
A lifetime of practicing the art of listening. I mean really listening. I have spent years learning how to hear but just recently I’ve begun the journey of learning how to see. It’s not as easy as you might expect. As artist David Hockney said “Everyone looks, it’s just a matter of how hard.”
Creating music has informed my art, sonically striving to create depth, breadth, space, illusion, surprise, emotion, beauty, drama, mystery, love, and letting mistakes and the unintended.…be.
Now, I’m applying these principles visually. And finally….applying them to Life.
